PAGE 18 HIGH GEAR
By Carl Howard Well, JEFF, so you're tired of reading about that someone and Paul Z., eh. Apparently you have survived rather well; that is except for being just a little under the weather... I'm sure David V. was a great comfort though...
Then again, we do have the case of DAVID H. of Highland Drive who just loovs' to dance and dance at Dimensions on weekday evenings. Better ambience, ya' know. Must be one of those "hot country boys" living out there in B. town...
Many thanks to Danny, Chuck, Michael, David and all the others at Lorain's own LAMBDA who helped to make the HIGH GEAR BENEFIT such a success! You people did it for us again this year. Not just the actual event but also for believing in HIGH GEAR. Sandusky folks were there in good numbers too!...
Big D and Josie were another smashing hit at JJ's that evening. Thanks for your support.

Although the origins of the Asparagus Fern are somewhat remote, it is unlikely that it has much in the way of aphrodisia powers. At any rate, it definitely should not be hung near or over a bed. Some have realized too late the problems it causes in such a location, FRANK!!!....
Where's HOTLINE STEVE? He hasn't been seen around town much lately? Has he found another interesting avocation?...
Bobby & Tony and Company continue to "carry-on" at the Olympic, and carry-on, and carry-on and carry-on... of course this is mild compared to the antics, etc. which go on at EXEDRA itself. Krazy Nites are simply out of control!! This also implicates David G. too. He's part and parcel of the whole thing...
Bobble & Dean, the new decor at DEAN'S LOUNGE is simply marvelous. We'll best those neighbors yet and show them what a good group of people can do. Now there has to be something to say about that "wonder" you affectionately call CHET DAVIS everything close to mind is inadequate... guess we'll, have to think about this one for a ... while yet.
JACK of EXEDRA's, it's been rumored that the hot water at home has apparently been a little too cool does that explain why you've been down to 9th Street getting a little ――――steamed???...

Someone should contact GUINESS for the longest brunch on record and at PIER W (Lakewood) at that... approximately 30 some gays met and enjoyed the food, the conversation, etc., etc. that's the easy part -but then a certain group of them moved into the lounge area and hang-it-up from there on.....
Poor Rodger had never been subjected to the likes of what followed. (Lighters on the floor. endless requests for matches, .constant inquiries, constant teas-
ing, and suggestive ideas to name only a few items. But then Ronnie S. began a medley of "RODGER, you light up my life" and followed this with strange and somewhat obscene maneuvers. Well, needless to say, the PIER was definitely gay that day and happily so... Up til this time, we thought Ronnie was so quiet and shy! It didn't take long to dash that idea. And Marc, Peter, Heavenly Lily, David, John BiIII, Frank all took part in this unusual but fun time. Don't let any one of them deny it! They were all there and likely to return or so word has it?... Greg, Vera, Gus, Mike P., Bill (the blond), CHRIS R. they were ALL there... But where was Tommy & Dug?...
To the wonderful crowd at JJ's 2402 Club, Richard, Ted, Claudette, Cathy, Denise, and everyone... THANKS SO MUCH FOR A TREMENDOUS EVENING!! With Benefits like that one and friends like you how can HIGH GEAR miss being a
Success...

Now you must be happy!! Really David K., is it necessary to put a rope around Sla's neck?" You know you already have him "howling" or was it "screaming" like a dog. What will you be trying next and just because you're a "oble" and he, your "kuni”. Those Pa. hills have more than just trees and coal mines in them or is it oll wells...
We miss ya', Rick. Way out there in Sod Heaven. Better watch those roads to Mansfield closer. Wooster's tricky too. Oh well, June isn't very far away; there's plenty of time to warn the world of the Thompson whirlwind that's about, to be turned loose...
